1kg Maize - Dry
£2.99

One of the greatest baits of all time and if you could only pick one bait to use for the rest of your life, whole maize would certainly be up there as one of the all time favourites for many.
You can either prepare this on its own, or by adding either salt or sugars. Personally, we like to prepare the maize with salt in the spring leading up to spawning, then with sugars throughout the summer months and into autumn. Both are very effective and easy on the pocket.
CAUTION: All dry particles and nuts will absorb water and expand once submerged, for this reason they MUST all be prepared correctly (Soaked for a given time and cooked for a given time). Failure to prepare properly can be deadly to fish.
TO PREPARE: Soak for a minimum of 24 hours then boil for 30 minutes. We like to cook the kernels to the point of splitting, but not split.
